Cathay cracks and JenB retaliates
Last week saw Cathay snapping at the cubs when they were trying to share her meal. The cubs are finding this change exceedingly difficult to accept because in the past she has been more than willing to share, even at times calling them to eat. For a large percentage of the time the cubs would just retreat to a safe distance until it was again safe to approach their mother, then they started standing their ground only moving their heads out of range of Cathay’s snapping teeth. JenB then started growling and snarling at his mother when she dared to chase him from the meat, this continued for a day or so until JenB became over confidant, now instead of retreating like his brother still does, he lashes back out; with a front paw; at Cathay every time she snaps at him. It is anybodies guess as to how long she will tolerate this rebellious behaviour before she teaches him more manners and to respect his elders.
