Week 294 (10th Apr - 16th Apr 2009)

Madonna spends some time in the 7ha camp

A change has come over the valley, where lush green grass and khakibos once stood we are now confronted with a landscape with an infinite shades of brown, grasses and khakibos alike, brown, withered and fragile. Gone is the green as winter approaches with silent, creeping footfalls

Early in the week TigerWoods renewed contact with his kids and he was suitably impressed by how much the cubs had grown and he and King Henry traded chuff for chuff. Once the initial greetings had been completed Madonna made herself at home in the 7ha camp.
Later in the week Madonna appeared at the fence and stood around for a while. I asked her where her cubs were and, as if she understood, she gave me a chuff and walked off calling to them. She then lay down to wait. King Henry was the first to respond and came bounding out of the grass. He started to chase his mother but stopped at a bush that needed investigating and then from that bush moved on to another.
Still later, Madonna arrived from the depths of the camp- alone - and both Cathay and TigerWoods were chuffing at her. All three then held a chuffing competition, (Madonna far softer and more melodious than usual). As far as volume was concerned; TigerWoods won hands down, with Cathay taking first prize for frequency.
On Wednesday both King Henry and Princess came out to visit again and I was deafened by the cacophony of chuffing between Madonna, her two cubs and TigerWoods. Cathay was no longer interested in the affair and just pretended that Madonna didn’t exist.
